You get points from other users. You have to engage in discussion or submit highly interesting links to get points. There are people who submit several links per day.

But for some people (like me) these kid of forums are addictive, I browse them constantly trying to find some hidden treasure and there is none. It could even bring a fatigue about "awesome stories".

It's easiest to get point with links. Easily >100 if it's a good one. On discussions you can get about 100 per month.
