#3For those going just by the headline, it's more of a rename. It's now --unsuported-gpu, still an opt in attempt thing. Glad to see the option reads less hostile, even though I have no real interest in Nvidia equipment. There are a couple other noteworthy changes, suggest checking it out if you're interested in Sway

sadly nvidia is the only option for cheap AI equipment
Personally, that stuff is little more than a "I'll play with it if I have an idea/opportunity" thing

I've heard that, CUDA I think being the driving factor - openCL being a bit of a joke in that area... is that about right? Personally, that stuff is little more than a "I'll play with it if I have an idea/opportunity" thing
It's true that openCL is more clunky to use then CUDA but the difference is not world shattering. So the AI people thought it was a good choice to gain a little bit in language ease of use and locking the entire industry to Nvidia because of it.

#7Why be less hostile to Nvidia? They still have yet to provide proper Linux drivers.
