#8My best guess is Twitter. Most journalist are active Twitter users and may have imbibed a particular culture from it that is out of step with even the more left leaning parts of the general public, like NYTimes readers.

Seems to be the trend; panned by critics, mostly liked by the average consumer. I didn’t think it was that great, as I think most would agree, compared to his other standups (or other Netflix specials e.g Nate Bargatze). Watched it tho.
On second watch, it was much funnier and his larger point was easier to grasp.
Oddly, I would give it a higher rating after the 2nd watch than after the 1st.
In my experience, that's usually a sign that it will have more staying power than his other specials which only required one viewing to fully appreciate. I can tell more thought went into constructing this special.
