I see so many posts about people wanting to switch from other fields of engineering into programming, but what if I want to go the other way, from programming to another field of engineering? I'm early 30s and have been working for ~10 years after college.
This is purely out of passion, and I know almost any other job in engineering will result in a pay decrease.
