#2It's has always amazed me that 99% of jobs are for 5 days per week.
As someone who has tried to "build something on the side" for years, I've always wanted a job which was contracted for 4 days per week so I could dedicate some time to my side projects, whilst getting some stable income.

Do others feel this way or is it just me?...

#3In the US, the threshold for employers providing health insurance is 30 hours per week.
A reduced 4 x 8 hour work week is 32 hours, not 28, which qualifies for benefits.
Reducing the workweek further to 4 x 7 = 28 hours means these jobs are benefits-optional, so I would want to see a column clarifying if health insurance is provided or not.

Thanks for this, I wasn't aware of this threshold. In the UK the typical work day is 7 hours (e.g. 9-5pm with a 1 hour unpaid break), hence the name

You must offer your part‑time staff the same employment conditions as full-time workers, including pay, leave, notice periods and other rights and benefits linked to their employment.
Modifying working arrangements
Whenever possible, you should try to accommodate requests from your employees if they want to change their working schedules, such as:
- transferring from full-time to part-time
- transferring from part-time to full-time
- increasing their working hours
You cannot dismiss an employee if they refuse to transfer from part-time to full-time work or vice versa.”
Certainly for desk jobs at larger companies, a request for a four-day working week will be accommodated.

#6Myself and my peers in the tech industry on average only work 20-30 hours per week, and we just exaggerate our billing to 40 hours. How is this different? The only difference I see is we are expected to be available Monday - Friday.

I'm interested. Tired of giving 5 days of work for 2 days of (hopefully) non-work.
