Oh god, not the cost! Fuck humans; let's earn some cash.
IUD procedures are actually awful, it involves a speculum, a needle to the cervix, and a device for spreading it to insert the IUD. They last 3-10 years depending on size, and are not risk free.
My girlfriend had cramps for months, and went to the hospital 4 times from the pain with the smallest IUD.
