Show HN: Why you can say abso-flippin-lutely but not ab-flipping-solutely

The explanation strikes me as overly complicated; from what I recall, the "flippin'" goes before the stressed syllable of the word. In "absolutely" the "lute" syllable is stressed, therefore "abso-flippin-lutely".

If I recall correctly, I learned this from "The Language Instinct" by Steven Pinker
