A high signal to noise ratio makes my screen feel insanely geeky. This is the opposite of that, with random crud scattered around a cramped terminal window. That would make me feel like a poser wannabe geek. Wearing a Superman costume wouldn't make me feel Super either. I guess it's just my poverty of imagination. Bah humbug and stay off my lawn.

Haha! This really works. I downloaded the MacOS release and tried it out. As they said, it used a lot of CPU (25%), but it looks great. I'm going to pull this out the next time I need to impress some kids with my job.

I occasionally like using a very different terminal just to break out of mental ruts. In the past I’ve used Cool Retro Term for its funky looks.

that line you quoted in fact anticipates your very criticisms so what is your point?

it's just a fun thing. are you like totally in capable of experiencing joy/having fun?

why can't we have moderation of these kinds of comments that are just negative/critical and contribute nothing? they're everywhere on hn lately.

Please pick your words with a little less irony next time. Also bear in mind that just because something isn't positive, that doesn't mean it's a negative worth silencing. An opinion is an opinion, and people are allowed to express them. GP didn't do so in a way that demeans anybody, but you did.
