This looks really interesting as it will be the first headset where you don't notice the pixels.

Super exciting for sure. I wonder what the requirements will be. I kind of assume I’d need to double down on second GTX 1070 to be able to run in 60fps.

Isn't the goal to have 90fps? 60fps would probably induce nausea.

Does anyone else see a Buy Vive button that does not seem to work? I am interested in buying the wireless receiver (and possibly a vive pro). I saw it at CES2018 and it seems to use 802.11ad. I wonder if it comes with both the receiver and the packet router for the pc or if you need to buy your own wireless router. FYI I'm using firefoxDev edition, the button doesn't seem to pop up for me on chrome.

I am experiencing this. The button does not appear on Chrome.

Same. I don't think they've even announced pricing yet, so it's probably not supposed to have that button.

It has nowhere near the resolution necessary not to notice the pixels. It is actually barely better than the Oculus Rift. The Rift has a higher resolution than the Vive because it has the same definition over a narrower FOV.

The Vive pro may have some magic that allows it to limit the screendoor effect but this will be hard to tell how it will help you because it tends to depends on the individual.

Right now, most VR games don't support multi-GPU setups, so unless things change you'll probably need to get a more powerful single GPU instead.

However, your 1070 is probably sufficient considering that a 970 is sufficient for the regular Vive.

An RX480 can run most non graphically intensive games at a solid 90 so you should be totally fine unless you want to strap into a vehicle sim or something that taxes the GPU.
