#3General observation: Social Justice Warriors must've moved in having taken over FOSS, atheism and feminism to rid the world of cool. This is what happens when a site or social group, any site, gets too popular: the various uncool, socially-inept cry-bullies take over. The cool kids long since moved on before inevitable social entropy happens. It can happen on the workplace side of startups too.
Losers bring drama. Then communities need more and more managers to settle disputes, more and more policies and everyone's walking around on eggshells to not offend the offended... users thinking: why am I even using this lame app? Someone else builds a similar app and it's in still in "cool mode," so people try that, but it too repeats the inevitable cycle by not learning from history.
Recipe to stay cool: Don't get too popular, invite only cool people with some sort of accountability and stay small. This is often at odds with investors and founders whom are in it for "Margaritas on a beach with no salt" money.
Maybe for a kinky shit social network, it oughta be a community nonprofit or something that isn't going to change with the whims of investors, credit card processors or corporate advertisers. There's this miraculous new cryptocurrency called Bitcoin.
