It's a bit more than that -- looks like a tighter marriage of Spring and Google App Engine is coming, including some GWT/Spring integration that Google and VMWare have been working on.

I'm getting so sick of seeing "tl;dr". Especially when you gloss over important facts in the article. Stop being lazy and stop enabling laziness.
