#2There's also nibbles, of some pretty interesting math and programming problems in there...

#4It looks beautiful. The demo is only available on Windows tho it seems :/ Does the engine itself work on Linux/Mac/Android/whatever?

#8There's some folks called I-Novae trying to do a similar thing, but making a space-fight simulator game on top as well, called Infinity: https://www.inovaestudios.com/Technology . I'd be curious to hear a technical comparison. It looks like Outerra focuses more on the planet-side and I-Novae more on the space-side.

#10This is quite impressive! The vehicles and flight simulation suggests that this is being developed for some specific game, but I couldn't find any references on the page. Does anyone know if this is the case, or if the engine is just being developed for more general purpose use?
"[Outerra is hiring] to work on several game and simulation projects for large defense contractors in partnership with TitanIM", with the latter being "A global sandbox [...] simulation software platform" and "[holding] the exclusive license to the [Outerra] world rendering engine for military applications."
