I love the experience of tools like Claude Code, but I don't think developers should have to accept premium pricing, arbitrary restrictions, and a single-vendor ecosystem just to get a great AI coding experience. I wanted the same terminal-first workflow with the freedom to choose any model, so I built Kolega Code, an open-source AI CLI.
