I built Desktop Commander MCP to break out of the coding box that tools like Cursor and Windsurf keep you in.

It gives Claude full access to your local machine — so you can search files, run terminal commands, automate tasks, and do more than just write code. It feels more like a real assistant than an IDE.

It’s fully open source and runs inside Claude Desktop (flat $20/mo, no token limits). Early users describe using is as “cheating” or getting “supper powers” over their machines.

haha...never saw this. I just took name that suits and focus on the building product, instead of name :)

Great staff, do you know how to add github pages? And may be add a link to desktop commander too.
