Mentioned on the page, but this is a good opportunity to point out that similar functionality is now built directly into Chrome (and other browsers?) with links that look like: https://github.com/WesleyAC/deeplinks#:~:text=not%20implemen...

That link doesn't seem to work on latest Firefox.

That link doesn't seem to work on latest Firefox.

Firefox is obsolete.

You aren't wrong, it is until Mozilla does some restructuring.

Mozilla makes money referring users to Google.

They have no incentive to make their browser the best, just functional enough.

They are riding on the coattails of what remains of their reputation and followers.

Until their followers leave, they won't change anything. Greedy execs.

Aye. And https://github.com/GoogleChromeLabs/text-fragments-polyfill will work for any browsers lacking a native implementation.

Seems not included in brave. Does not work for me.

At least at our university it is the default browser on every machine. All have ublock origin installed — I wonder how this would affect browser metrics.
