It's kinda like Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist, with the addition that it only chooses artists playing near you soon.
So you select your city and it auto generates and refreshes a playlist every day with relevant artists playing near you in the next 7 days. After you login with Spotify it automatically shows up on your account. It uses data from Songkick and it uses Spotify's data to determine which artists show up on your playlist (it looks out for your personal favorite genres). So this playlist is very much personalized for you.
You'll get an email every Monday as well to remind you of who's on your playlist. It's a way to both discover music and to get a heads up if bands you already listening to. I would love to get some feedback on it. Right now this is just a side project, I built it as a talking point to my software engineering interviews. If people love it, who knows maybe I'll expand on it.
I've been using it in Seattle and have really enjoyed seeing both bands I love and bands I've grown to like through it.
