99Audit is Posterous for data analysis - email us spreadsheets and get processed data back.
The big idea is to provide a series of algorithms to run analysis on your data via email. One way to think about it is as a service for people that receive a lot of data without the time to confirm if the information is valid or not, or would like a gist of what has come in to help them prioritize.
You sometimes get a feeling that the data may not be correct, this service will scan through them and you can look at those that raise a red flag first - and we would want to create a broader spectrum of analysis tools from financial to sales monitoring.
The main algorithm currently is the natural number analysis based on Benford's law - which would analyze your spreadsheet and determine if the data inside matches a natural number pattern - a method used by auditors to detect fraud and can also help filter out probable data tampering.
