So this looked really great and I'm sure it will be. I realize that there are a lot of barcodes, but I happened to see this thread while at Costco. I downloaded the app while here and it only recognized 2 beers from the entire beer isle. Some were tricky but some were things that you definitely should have (like Sam Adams Winter). Yep, working on it. We get bar code data from BreweryDB, which allows us to improve bar code accuracy without an app update. BreweryDB takes user submitted bar codes easily with PocketBeer (BreweryDB's app) http://www.pocketbeerapp.com/

BA doesn't provide an API, and they regularly go after scraper-style "API" implementations that pop up. http://www.beeradvocate.com/contact/ Also, +1 for Untappd integration. That would be amazing.
Yeah, if this could also tell me through Untappd whether I've had a beer before and how I rated it, that would be perfect. I'm on a mission to try 1,000 different beers on Untappd, and this could really help with that.
I'd love to see ABV on the main list (instead of having to go to that beer's individual page). When I'm scanning through a menu, that's one of the primary things I look at.
