Each number was drawn individually as shown. Each number took longer before showing up on the page, to the point where 4 and 5 tossed up the Firefox "unresponsive script" dialog.

Apart from that, this definitely has potential, and would actually give me a reason to un-mothball my tablet notebook. Props!
