they're two layers, not competitors — OpenClaw is the agent, Loadout is the integration layer you drop into it. and they do connect: OpenClaw's on the supported agents list.

interesting idea..what are the benefits compared to connector inside codex?

the connector is codex-only and single-service; loadout works across codex, claude code, and openclaw against 1000+ tools, and it's a skill so it drops into whatever host you already run.

I guess they’re different layers. OpenClaw is the agent, Loadout is the tool-connection layer you drop into it. And they connect: OpenClaw is a listed supported agent, so you can equip your Claw with Loadout’s 1,000+ integrations.

that's exactly the read. the agent stays your agent, loadout just hands it the integration plumbing it'd otherwise be missing.
