Per https://support.apple.com/guide/mac-help/control-access-to-y... you should be able to grant the FATpick app access to your microphone from that panel. It is likely you'll need to "install" the app (drag it to your Applications folder as prompted in the DMG), not just run the app directly.

I have the app in the Applications folder, but I am still not seeing it in the microphone access panel...

Hi royletron, for what it is worth I think the latest version (v1.4.2) now available at https://www.fatpick.com/support/downloads fixes this.

I think same updates that fixed the notarization issue may fix this problem also (since we had to add an explicit entitlement for the audio input). If it doesn't please reach me via the contact form at https://www.fatpick.com/contact-us or email me directly at rod@.

Cool project, wish I could try it! Given that it's Electron, is there a reason you don't have a Linux version?

Mostly the opportunity cost relative to other things to spend time on. But you're right. It should just work on Linux too. There may be some platform-specific quirks to work out, but you are not the first person to ask for this. If you contact me at rod@ or via the form on the website I would be happy to hook you up with a Linux build to try out. If nothing else I could probably offer a not-officially-supported Linux…

Just for future reference for people that come across this thread and would also like a Linux build, there is now a "hidden" and unsupported Linux download available. See https://www.fatpick.com/blog/release-notes-fatpick-v1-4-2-li...
