I appreciate all these new clients with some interesting twists, but I would appreciate more if people spent at least a relatively small portion of their time contributing to existing (very good and solid) messengers like Pidgin, instead of re-inventing the wheel. Every now and then, someone hacks a new client, which begs the question about the value of that effort.
