Here's another awesome Google Doc in this area: A Google Spreadsheet that will harvest all tweets containing a given search string.
The code is interesting, and I had no idea Google Docs had the equivalent of CRON:

#15Are Apps scripts run in browser or on the server? Because this could be used as a Twitter proxy for anyone whose network filters for Twitter.com but not docs.google.com.
Or, for that matter, data from any other blocked website...

#16We use a Google Spreadsheet as a buffer for our tweets at work, hacking the ’sheet to post would be an awesome addition - and not one I’d’ve ever thought of.
This is a cool hack - and one that will make my co-workers lives a bit simpler.

it's directly run on the google servers.

have you tried saving the code first? it looks like you're running "myfunction", because google spreadsheets don't know the copy/pasted functions ...
