#13I'm not sure I'd call it an alternative to Crunchbase, I don't really see what is more "modern" about it either I use Crunchbase for their data, such as location, employees, details regarding funding or their tech... your site doesn't seem to have any of that, it's just a brief description with a link to their website It's fine as just a basic directory though
I use Crunchbase for the same purpose but it’s become increasingly paywalled. I notice that the funding details are now entirely behind the paywall.

But they are so terrible keeping it up to date. I used it last year and it was maddening how many funding events they missed, I think a full time intern could do a better job of keeping up with things. I don't get it, surely they have enough money to hire someone to keep up with things better?

Fair point. More detailed profiles and news/events are on the radar, I'm trying to figure out the best way to programmatically fetch those for each startup.
