How can you add/suggest new startups?

E.g, defence tech seems quite sparse

I've only added 500+ startups up to now, so some spaces are a little empty and/or too broad. I'll set up a good way for users to contribute very soon.

I'm not sure I'd call it an alternative to Crunchbase, I don't really see what is more "modern" about it either I use Crunchbase for their data, such as location, employees, details regarding funding or their tech... your site doesn't seem to have any of that, it's just a brief description with a link to their website It's fine as just a basic directory though

I use Crunchbase for the same purpose but it’s become increasingly paywalled. I notice that the funding details are now entirely behind the paywall.

But they are so terrible keeping it up to date. I used it last year and it was maddening how many funding events they missed, I think a full time intern could do a better job of keeping up with things. I don't get it, surely they have enough money to hire someone to keep up with things better?

Earlier quoted context omitted.

I thought it was mostly user contributed?

Yea clickbait title. Nothing to do with what Crunchbase does. It is just a listing of products with a screenshot. Even if the intent is to be a better crunchbase, it is far too early and honestly a low quality post at the moment.

It has one feature that's better than Crunchbase i.e. access Crunchbase with javascript turned off (my default) you get a blank screen with a page title of: "Access to this page has been denied". Whereas cujobay actually presents content right away - no js required.

Fair point. More detailed profiles and news/events are on the radar, I'm trying to figure out the best way to programmatically fetch those for each startup.

Nice. Looks like the frontend is Next on Vercel? Curious to hear more about your stack for this if you want to share.
