I am participating in a pitch trek organized by a top MBA program, and I am being asked to supply a resume for the VCs who I will be meeting. This strikes me as a bit strange. Is it common for VCs to ask to see CVs, or is this an MBA thing?

#2I have no idea if its strange or not since I've never raised money, but if you were to invest in someone it would probably be quite valuable to know their work history. Given that you're part of some program and not soliciting VC's individually, I'm guessing this is one of the easiest / fastest ways to get to know you.

#3Yep very common. Work in early stage vc now and it's a common ask if the person is previously unknown. Especially in a large pitch group good to get a few things like this in advance. Will help them ask smarter questions when they meet you hopefully too

#4Yes definitely. Remember that many (not all, but many) VCs see themselves as investing in the person, not necessarily the idea. So it'd follow that they'd like to get to know you as thoroughly as they can.
