#4On-Demand DevOps not like other companies who rely on certifications for legitimacy and AI to tell them what to do.
I offer solutions tuned to how you and your company operates: what technologies you use, how your customers interact, and how your product teams deliver. I work within the widest possible context, encompassing technology, product, customers, and IT teams. I call this the "DevOps Mindset".
My solutions are fixed-price, rapid, holistic and long-lasting. They are ideal for companies at all phases:
* Launch: low-cost standard services for quick ramp-ups
* Scale-up: enterprise-grade builds for growth
* Stablisation: bespoke services for complex scenarios
My expertise is built on 25+ years of doing DevOps, from PXE boot-based provisioning of bare-metal clusters to management of massive global cloud-based systems.Here are some examples:
* Azure / AWS Cloud Platform build-out,

#6I am a Lead Infrastructure Engineer with 20+ years of experience.
Whether your team is stuck troubleshooting infra issues, needs extra hands on an infra-heavy project or is just lacking tech leadership on the DevOps topics, contact me and we'll figure it out.
I prefer to work along the existing engineering teams, mentoring or training them while working together on the real tasks. This is a very effective and also a flexible way to learn and as a bonus, some work gets done on the way.
I am located in EU (Estonia) and work remotely with occasional on-site visits.
The usual topics are various AWS services, Elastic Stack, Linux, wide range of troubleshooting, infrastructure as code, logging & monitoring, managing cloud costs, but I find it rewarding to venture into new areas together with the team.

#7We are a post seed startup that's looking to bring on a core engineer. Our stack is build with typescript in AWS (all serverless). We're looking for a senior engineer who's experienced working with AWS, AWS Lambda, Stepfunctions, CDK, etc.
It's important to us that the person we bring on can understand business problems and be proactive in suggesting technical direction. We are a small team so everyone is working on the entire stack vs siloed positions.
Please don't waste our mutual time if you're not specifically qualified for this role.
How to apply - send me a email austin [at] goroam [.] io and with a link to your linkedin, a few sentences on why you're interested, and what your hourly rate is. If you can't use ChatGPT (I hope you don't actually use ChatGPT) to follow these instructions you're not a good fit for our role =).

#8I'm a data scientist in a world of data technicians and I look for hard problems to solve. Hair on fire "This is causing lemon-law recalls and we can't solve it." type problems - I've done a few of those. I have 15+ years experience helping companies plan, prototype, and productionize sane data science solutions.
I love avant-garde problems, and have a pretty unique skillset. I've worked with names you know in automotive, aviation, tech, and other spaces. Recently I've been working with Oil & Gas - Production estimates, pricing, failure analysis, and other interesting things.
I've worked on projects including LLMs, knowledge extraction, automotive part failure prediction, vehicle route planning in constrained environments, translation, maintenance optimization, automated sports highlights, maritime piracy, and more.
Two things I would love to work on, feel free to ping me on these:
- Offensive & defensive security. I've been working through some ideas for a while now to apply AI (Not LLMs) to security. I think they could harden a network environment even in the presence of usable exploits against an active adversary.
- Executive memory and longer range functioning using LLM's. Steve Yegge has been working a little bit on this recently (and blogging about it), I’ve been working on formalizing this.Re: Ask HN: Freelancer? Seeking freelancer?
