I’ve been thinking about the future of design workflows and wondering if anyone here is working on an AI design agent, not just another image generator, but something that actually understands design intent and executes creative direction end-to-end.

Something that could: - Take prompts like “create a campaign for a new streetwear drop” and generate cohesive brand visuals (logo, apparel mockups, ad creatives, etc.) - Learn a brand’s visual identity over time - Suggest new content ideas or remix existing assets - Work more like a creative assistant than a “prompt in, image out” tool

Basically, a creative automation platform that behaves like a designer who knows your brand, not just a diffusion model with style filters.

Is anyone building something like this, or thinking in that direction? Would love to see examples, prototypes, or even open-source experiments.

Also curious: what would you want an AI design agent to handle for you? Mockups? Social posts? Full brand systems?

There's https://labs.google.com/pomelli/about/ which is pretty much exactly what you describe. It does do prompt in, image out but also accepts your brand from a URL, and then allows for remixing and tweaking after the fact.

It's not all the way there as far as I can tell, as it'd be great to upload a proper set of brand guidelines and tone of voice, and maybe some user personas. Also the inpainting in the additional steps seems limited. And the output is limited to certain dimensions it seems.

Other tools exist within suites like Jasper.ai for marketers.

After that there may be some 'roll your own' options via N8N or other Ai workflow tools, letting you plug services in, tweak system prompts and add manual checking and tweaking/approvals via Slack/Teams etc. I've seen full automated/human-checked workflows for blogs, image editing shouldn't be dissimilar.
