As a long time lurker I finally decided to create an account on HN. I shared my first comment with a friend and he said he can't see it. My comments are also invisible for a non-logged user.
What are the requirements for a new account to have their contributions seen?
1. Making 4 comments in quick succession immediately after creating a new account
2. Possibly receiving downvotes/flags from other users because of the snarky/low-quality nature of those comments ("Is this European oligarchical censorship in the room with us now?", "Typical HN")
3. Possibly being a sockpuppet account. I know you're saying this is your first account, but I'm suspicious. Statements like "I shared my first comment with a friend and he said he can't see it" sound to me like potential cover for "I viewed it on my main account". Particuarly with your very first comment being a complaint about HN moderation
Could try making some more comments (ideally not on the same political argument post as your first four comments) to see if those are also deleted. Otherwise you could try contacting hn@ycombinator.com
