Hi everyone,
I am doing a PhD in Bioinformatics, where I use Machine Learning and interventional data to understand which genes regulate each other (causal inference). It's really exciting.
Now, I am looking for internship positions, but I have the impression it's hard to find the really interesting groups by googling, because many biotech companies are new, small teams don't have webpages, my supervisor is not very well connected, I don't have a strong network yet (coming from a different field), etc.
Here is a list of companies I had a look at/already applied: Owkin, Microsoft, Recursion, Genentech, Novartis
If you know some other people/groups/companies that are doing interesting work combining ML/causal inference and biomedical data, I'd be super happy if you could let me know!
