I want to get back on focusing on physical fitness. I did a big push a couple years ago but have been sliding over the last year, and especially over the holidays, partially because of some additional stress of a family medical situation. Not really a resolution, but something I plan to focus on after the holidays.

I'd like to be more deliberate in what I choose to do. Part of this goes with the old saying of "eat the frog first". I want to stop doing the quick and easy thing and do the thing that i'm constantly thinking about. Usually I think: if I just knock out these quick things, I'll have more space to think through the hard problem. But the quick and easy things don't stop coming.

Getting away from time wasting things like mindlessly scrolling Reddit. I realized about a month ago it has slowly grown into an addiction... nothing to do? Pull out the phone and scroll.

Now I'm limiting myself to consuming content differently. Checking HN once or twice a day. Using RSS to subscribe to blogs I find interesting instead of having my content fed to me. With the time I'm getting back, I'm putting a lot more energy back into personal learning and finishing my MSCS.

Also fell of the "staying fit" wagon near the end of the year so I plan on getting back to the gym and getting outside more.

if you happen to use NextDNS or an equivalent, i added reddit to my list of blocked domains so if there is something i want to read on there it has to be worth disabling my ad block temporarily.

Solve a leetcode easy and leetcode medium problem in the morning before starting my dayjob.

I wanted to prepare for the next interviews sometime mid last year but lost the motivation. It is very easy to skip the interview-prep after a full working day.

Best to do a short programming riddle after waking up when the mind is still fresh.
