Ask HN: Required voice notes for job applications

Does anyone else find these extremely uncomfortable? The thoughts of what I should say are not hard, but talking to no one is very unpleasant. Is anyone else running into this with their applications?

I have been job hunting and have not encountered this at all. I would bail on the application if I did.
