The success for dating apps is apparent on its face, however, more and more I meet people all over that are families and find it difficult to meet others in their city, other than those they meet in kids activities and/or work.

#2I think your first hurdle is explaining the idea without it sounding like an app for incest. "It's a dating app but for families" doesn't sound great.
Jokes aside, I think this could be generalized to just finding friends and those apps have never quite taken off the same way dating apps have. My instinct is that sex sells a lot better than friendship.

Yes, I should have clarified the more general "tinder-style" or "gamification-style" app!
