#262 yrs old, 40 years staring at screens. Possibly myopia, eye doctor says maybe from my work, maybe genetic. Other than that nothing I can think of.

My brother-in-law worked for 30 years as a mason (cement and bricks). He has serious permanent back injuries and lung damage from dust. One of my younger brothers worked for two decades as a stock broker, he suffers from alcoholism, ulcers, migraines.
I got off easy, I think.

#5Realize that software dev is a sedentary job and make sure to get regular exercise outside of your job.

#6Was developing lower back issues earlier on due to not caring about office chair selection. Easy fix and well worth it.
