AppMap - JavaScript Expert - FT (preferred) or contract - Remote [USA /CAN East Coast / EU / UK]

AppMap is a personal observability platform. AppMap was a finalist in this year's TechCrunch Disrupt, and was the top software company in the entire competition.

AppMap is used by well over 30,000 developers already, and growing daily. AppMap gives developers instant performance and security feedback on their running code the moment they've written it, right within their code editor. This approach dramatically reduces developer toil and prevents many production issues.

The AppMap JavaScript agent observes all actions taken by a running Node application and records them, allowing AppMap to analyze them for runtime design flaws. The agent must never change application behavior or impact its performance. It must also be aware of how requests are processed in libraries like Express, Next.js, Mocha, and others.

There are thousands of JS programmers in the world today. But here at AppMap, we’re not looking for any normal engineer. We need someone who is an expert on the internals of JS/Node and how it behaves at runtime. Someone who has a commit history within the V8 core.

Someone who has worked on profilers, tracers, or debuggers. Someone who enjoys the world of bytecode as much as they do writing an elegant React app.

If you’re that person, please get in touch at jobs@appmap.io.

When you write to us, please tell us about the thing that you love (or hate!) most about JavaScript that most developers don't know.
