Ask HN: Finding Good Jobs?

#1
Hi,

I'm a senior eng, in a faang role, and I must admit my whole career I've never really had a great source of jobs. I've resorted to indeed, sifting through recruiter spam, etc to find find the roles I might fit for.

There must be a better way (looking for a Devops position, near DC or remote).

Just a shot in the dark here but it sounds like you could benefit from attending some conferences and pointedly trying to expand your network and letting them know you are seeking new employment. From HN anecdata, lots of people seem to have found their best gigs by referral.

I worked with Francisco at Harrison Clarke finding my latest position: https://www.linkedin.com/in/franciscomadrigal1

Harrison Clarke specializes in SRE/DevOps

I'm in Rockville MD, just outside DC. But they also work remote. Really drilled down on what I want and found me the right opportunities.

All around best hiring experience I've had.

There have been some good events from this group. https://www.meetup.com/DevOpsDC
