I've just jumped ship to Android, got a S22+. I'm not much of an app person, but I thought I'd give it a shot. Would be great to know the hidden gems you've came across.

#4Netguard firewall combined with NextDNS custom dns server works as a pretty good full system ad blocker.
1.1.1.1 is a pretty decent alternative if you want something easier to set up.

Do you manage your own server for DavX?
For me personally my list is:
Firefox - with add-ons, I tend to access as many services through the browser rather than via apps.
Feeder - RSS reader
AntennaPod - podcasts

#8Podcast Republic. Most functional podcast app I've found, with manual playlist creation, adding virtual folders, YouTube subscriptions, etc
Also the Dev answers everything promptly on a dedicated subreddit for it and releases updates constantly.

No, I use a Nextcloud provided by a non-profit I know.
Some Nextcloud instances are provided for free by other french non-profit organizations, you can find a list here: [chatons.org](https://www.chatons.org/search/by-service?service_type_targe...). Please checkout their website for details -- provided services and conditions may vary

#10I know it sounds silly, but I cannot use my device without this app & even wish apple also has similar feature for iphones.
Nokia's Z Launcher. 2 main features. Showing frequently used app & just [scribble the name of the app to open it](https://i.imgur.com/PNCx5qB.jpg) or a contact.
Sadly Nokia ditched it & no one else seems to have that 2 features.
