#2For sites with static content, we disable anything apart from error logging and don't do any analytics.
For most others, running GoAccess locally is totally sufficient for all our purposes. https://goaccess.io/features
https://matomo.org/ is a classic (previously called Piwik) if you need more than that.

#3By the way things are going, I think soon 3rd party analytics services will see a drop in usage and people with consider self-hosting more (so they have full control over their data and how its used). I built my own self-hosted platform https://www.uxwizz.com, but there are many others out there with various features and privacy controls.
