MiraDx | Senior Software Engineer | Los Angeles, CA | Full-time | Onsite

MiraDx builds genetic tests to predict patient responses to cancer treatments. We have also developed an FDA-authorized COVID test that we have administered to patients over 1 million times.

My name is Joanne Weidhaas, and I am an oncologist, molecular biologist and professor at UCLA. I founded MiraDx in 2008 with my colleague Frank Slack. MiraDx spun out of our research on a new class of genetic biomarkers.

Over the last year, in addition to developing a COVID test in the lab, we have also developed software to handle our large volume of COVID testing. We are looking for our first full-time software engineering hire to take the lead on that software (our stack is TypeScript, React, Firestore and Salesforce). Longer term, you would lead the development (and help conceive) of new software to streamline our genetic testing more broadly.

Depending on your background and interests, this role might end up being part data science and/or part product management. There is plenty of potential for wearing multiple hats and leadership.

If you're interested, please email me at joanne@miradx.com with "Software Engineer HN" in the subject line.
