Hello, I'm Paul! I work primarily in backend technologies and specialize in making odd data sets come together in ways that don't seem apparent to give my clients an edge in their fields. Most recently, I've worked on a technology that I call VoteFlipper; it's a set of AIs that tell you if any particular voter will vote in an election and gives you a good idea of their true partisan lean. VoteFlipper shows campaigns how to use their resources in the most effective ways; why spend money advertising to folks who will never share your ideology?

It’s had a good 2018 and a great 2020, but I’m looking for new opportunities to work with fresh, unique datasets to solve different problems.

You can check out the main site here: https://voteflipper.com and I’ve made a series of timestamped, interactive charts on my Twitter, https://twitter.com/voteflipper.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you!

----------------------------------

Hi, I am Saurav Kothari, a full stack engineer with 5 years of experience working with some of the fastest growing startups. I consider myself to be an engineer first, developer second; i.e, my goal is to solve problems and technology is one of the tools I utilize to solve them.

Over the past years I have had the opportunity to work across a wide range of business domains from SaaS to e-commerce. I have worked across the stack over components that have been internal facing as well as user facing and I believe I can emphatize with the end consumer of my product. My experience as a Product Engineer has expanded my horizon to understand business goals and how to tie them to tech goals to create a win-win scenario for everyone involved.

I have been fortunate to have worked with various languages and frameworks and feel comfortable learning new ones as needed and switching between them on the go.

My expertise lies in automated web scraping of difficult to obtain data, websites with bare bones structures and complex to parse, large scale websites, including those using 'scraping protection' services and sites that simply put - are hard for most to scrape. I use a variety of methods for getting the data and aim to obtain the data as quickly, accurately and efficiently as possible.
