I (along with my co-founder) have a small local e-commerce mobile app and web app which is growing rapidly. Close to 1K daily orders now, up from 60~ just 3 months ago.
We do not track or store most of the user behaviour or actions that are non-critical - like product page views, home-page views, cart abandonment, cart removal, reviews view, views on special pages, search page and search result item clicks, etc.
We would like to track that info for later analytics and probably generating recommendations based on that in future - like people who viewed item X ended up buying item Y. But how and where do we store these data?
- Just storing them in separate logs, backing them up in S3, and later doing some processing? - Any 3rd party service to which we push our data to? - Pushing to Kinesis to be later dumped to Redshift or some other service? - Something else?
