Is it disguised as something else? Possibly Rationalizations?
Or it doesn't surface? Does one have blind spots to it?
Let's say if somebody struggles to make friends at a cocktail property. Does that person over time generate a distaste for the cocktail property? If yes, isn't it an unnecessary cognitive liability. Is it just better to get better at it if someone really wants to connect to new people but struggles to?
