My university did a poor job of teaching either. Databases was not required, and it was mainly a graduate course. Operating systems was taught entirely theoretically with no programming assignments, so I practically learned nothing. The university doesn't even have us use C in any courses, besides the one optional Unix course. Are there any recommended resources I can read or watch?
Ask HN: What is the best way to learn databases and operating systems?
