Ask HN: What are you working on? (June 2026)

Working on a biological inspired spik8ng neural network written from scratch in Java. So far I implemented homeostatic STDP, dendritic branches competition, lateral neuronal inhibition (with different strategies), dopamine based rewarding and an adaptive stabilizer. Multiple emispheres and layers are supported. Why I'm doing It? Just for fun and learning! My very first goal is to make a simple OCR working.. Then, the real fun would be having a cockroach moving in my house driven by this virtual brain.
