- https://mindmap.shanehoban.com - my canvas note taking app

Bit late here! I'm working on Etymon, a daily etymology puzzle. Each puzzle has six clues to help reveal a hidden word. The cognate clue (4) gives two words that share the same root with the hidden word. Today's are SOFA + DIVAN. I've made it free mon - fri, no email needed, and gated the weekends and puzzle archive. https://etymonpuzzle.com/

I am working on https://www.accessmrf.com a catalog for all health care prices published by insurers under the Transparency in Coverage rule.

I recently wrote a blog post using Min Hashing to estimate that at least 90% of the 1.17 petabyte dataset are duplicates and I keep investigating new ways of making this dataset manageable. https://www.felixhaba.com/writing/simplifying-healthcare-pri...

Working on a web platform where: You post a 3D model design request while making a pledge (like submitting a ticket) and the community can make additional pledges to attract designers to make things missing from online 3D model libraries like thingiverse and turbosquid. Essentially, we're allowing 3D printing enthusiasts who don't know how to design, visual effect (VFX) professionals to request designs from 3D artists, designers, engineers with community funding essentially. Designers own the IP and are encouraged to enrich the public 3D model libraries while getting paid.

Opening a new maker space in Berkeley, July 3rd Noon-Midnight. Founded by 2 guys in a basement 9 years ago. Now opening it up to the community of local makers as a non-profit 501(c)(3). 3D print, laser cutters, CNC, full e-bench. https://eastbaymakersclub.com

nice!
