Nice! Was tickled when I saw the fork feature. I’ve often thought recipe sites missed that and coming from a software dev background I guess it seems obvious where we’ve got used to forking in git. It was on the roadmap for my stab at a recipe site: https://osomatsu.net It seems such a shame to forego a literal dinner-fork as an icon for the feature though? :)

haha I've thought about it. You are making me reconsider it, I thought the current icon would reflect the idea better.

Working on some improvements to it. :)

PostgreSQL 17 support was added by a fellow developer over the last few days, and we're working on automating the post upgrade tasks now too.

eg vacuum analyse, reindexing the databases, etc.

I'm working on a Windows software that synchronize WooCommerce and Dolibarr (open source CMS) for a French client.

The tech stack is simple and I use FreePascal / Lazarus IDE, but my client has multiple/obscure business process that make it difficult.

I own the right to the software and I will be able to sell it to other companies (not sure if I will do it).

This is wonderful, though I wouldnt want to move to Berlin I find this really useful to learn about Germany. I also find it funny because it epitomises how broken the EU is. It should not be this hard to move within the EU, alas, here we are. Thank you for putting this together for the folks that need it!

That is an entirely wrong takeaway. Mobility is much easier for EU citizens. They skip all the hardest part of the process, the ones that actually make people leave out of frustration or bureaucratic blockade. The problem firmly sits in German hands.

Very cool. I would love to see a writeup of your translation workflow eventually. How long have you been working on this site?

7 years. The translation workflow will become surprisingly complex. Making it simple again will take some time. Usually ai mostly automate something, then let it run for a while before finishing the job. You don’t know how you will work with a tool until you do.

Bear in mind that some metals can be toxic when welded.

ie galvanised stuff generates gaseous tin or zinc (~white smoke, i don't remember which). Bad in a confined space like a shed or garage.

So there are some non-obvious considerations that Youtube video's don't seem to mention. :(
