I wonder if they put Fable in charge of Fable and Fable has learned dark patterns on how to gauge if there's enough whales on the hook to attached a feeding tube to the token API so they can print money.

#92Funny how the default read of any outage now is "strategic gating" — a week of Sol and K3 launches has everyone primed to see 4D chess in what turns out to be a broken status page.

#93Same here. Weirdly, > The promotion starts July 1, 2026 and ends July 19, 2026 at 11:59:59 PM PT. from: https://support.claude.com/en/articles/15424964-claude-fable...
I think it was cutting off on the 12th, then they extended to the 19th, but apparently they changed their minds again, which really sucks when you've started a big change and now your context window that understood what it was doing gets rug-pulled.
Given 5.6 and K3 I’m sure the window will be extended again. Have to maintain being somewhere on the frontier.
Shame Fable is completely useless for me due to security classifiers.

#94My claude says:
"Fable 5 is now a standard part of your Team plan"
"You can use up to 50% of your weekly usage limit on Fable 5. If you hit your limit, you can continue on Fable 5 with usage credits. Fable 5 draws down usage faster than Opus 4.8. Run /model and select Fable to use it. Learn more: https://support.claude.com/en/articles/15424964-claude-fable..."
And this is from EU - competition (OpenAI) is a great thing I guess.
