Everybody lives somewhere and everything breaks. Proper's mission is to empower humankind to fix the world's buildings. We are building a communications platform around property and we're starting with rental property management. Dealing with maintenance is a real pain in the ... We're making it easier and more fun!

We are looking for an experienced developer to inherit our iOS app and own its development. You'll add new features as well as refactor/improve existing modules and get to shape the design of our app. Our current app interfaces with a Firebase backend, but we are moving to a custom Go backend using gRPC.

Join our team and come help Proper in transforming how the world gets fixed!

We just raised a $35M round of funding ($60M total to date), and have assembled a leadership team comprised of veterans from a variety of industries and companies including Goldman Sachs, FOX Sports, GLAMSQUAD, Yahoo! Inc. and more.

You’ll get to work on a small close-knit team of 4 engineers. You’ll be the first person to spearhead our newly formed Station Platform Team. This role is a hybrid between DevOps work and Engineering work. Some role highlights include:

- Prototyping new components and sensors on the stations

- Building a message bus to allow services on the station to communicate with each other and services in the cloud
