Classkick | Chicago | U.S. Remote | https://classkick.com/ | Full time

Classkick is a tech startup that loves helping teachers and students. We love it so much, that in non-pandemic periods, we worked out of a school every week or two, and have our whole team visit schools to see Classkick in action monthly. We'd come home to a half day hackathon and build/fix the product that day!

Our teacher and student focused culture helped us make the #1 learning activities platform in K-12 (measured by mean session time and/or NPS), with organic growth in 160+ countries.

Our roadmap includes exciting platform updates to serve the new post-pandemic world and expand to new markets - all informed of course by teacher and student requests. Catch some recent #featuresbyteachers here: https://www.instagram.com/p/Bs5seHih4Fw/ and here: https://www.instagram.com/p/BuhOkqVBJwu/.

Some of the key roles we're hiring for include:

    - Engineering Manager: $160-220K
    - Principal Engineer, Distributed Systems: $180-240K
    - Senior Engineers: $140-180K
Tech Stack: iOS, Angular, React, GCP, Firebase, MySQL, Scala, Kubernetes. Prior familiarity with stack is a bonus. It’s NOT required.

We do NOT require expertise in our stack necessarily, but do prefer a deep understanding of a stack. Don’t know our stack but you’re awesome in Java, Ruby, on AWS, or in concepts like TDD, OOP, CI/CD? Great! We ultimately look for people who can quickly ramp up on ideas and technologies.

Learn more about the ITAR here.

This seems to indicate the possibility of being authorized by the US Department of State, but they link to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations articles, and I haven't a clue as to where to find this answer.

ve10x | Software Engineering roles | Full-time | REMOTE (UK) | REMOTE (Spain) *

At ve10x (https://www.veloxfintech.com), we build and license a software development suite which enables financial institutions to rapidly build highly robust enterprise applications. It's "low-code" for developers. Our clients range from regional banks to top tier global banks and covers both buy side and sell side institutions. We are looking for individuals who share our passion for excellence at work while achieving balance in their personal lives.

Who is it for?

- Interested in implementing systems to "industrial strength? We don't care whether you can invert a binary tree on a whiteboard with an interviewer breathing down your neck :-D But, given reasonable amount of time, can you figure out the important details and trade-offs involved in converting academic description (Ex: data structures possibly in parallel or distributed setting) into production worthy systems?

- Do you enjoy the process of learning, continuously striving to close any gaps in your own knowledge?

- Are you a top IC, possibly feeling forced into a managerial role to grow? Are you looking to continue to grow while being hands-on?

Tech: Java (Backend), TypeScript/JavaScript (Frontend), Vue.js (We're agnostic to your current tech stack as long as you're happy to learn - it's the strong foundation in core CS concepts that matters)

We have a lot of challenging problems to solve. Our deadlines are not driven by our clients. The technology we build has a direct impact on our revenue and we're able and willing to reward the right candidates with continued growth.

Reachable at govind.jajoo[_at_]veloxfintech.com

* - We're not able to sponsor visas at the moment, however for exceptional candidates, we could arrange remote work from other locations in Europe.
