Caregather is looking for a Founding Software Engineer, who will work with us to define how our product vision meets technology. We will need your help to decide when and how to migrate off our no-code solution to our own tech stack. On day 1, you’ll be responsible for designing the data model, choosing our stack, and building our fulfillment system with vendor partners. We are looking for someone eager to join us in our mission to make care more confident, collective and bright.

About Caregather Caregather helps friends and family gather together to care better for those going through significant illnesses or injuries. There are 4x more diagnoses and serious injuries than weddings and billions of dollars spent on non-medical care each year, and yet this life moment remains severely underserved. We aim to fix that.

We provide free software tools to coordinate caregiving and a curated marketplace of products and services that friends and family can purchase to improve a patient’s quality of life. We’ve combined our mission with a social commerce business model that will propel the company and enable us to build powerful, free tools for those supporting others.

Both cofounders have personal experience with organizing communities of support for loved ones, so we’ve felt the need for what we are building personally. We used this experience and no-code tools to build a fully functional web application (feel free to play around on our site). We have folks actively using the product now and teaching us how we can continue to improve the user experience.

We were accepted into the Masschallenge Healthtech accelerator program (2021 cohort) in order to speed up our rate of learning. We are focused on honing our product roadmap based on user and expert feedback ahead of our first fundraise this spring.
