Crusoe is on a mission to unlock value in stranded energy resources through the power of computation. We aim to align the long-term interests of the climate with the future of global computing infrastructure.

We send containerized data centers to active oilfields and converts otherwise wasted (literally burned into our atmosphere) natural gas byproduct into power for energy-intensive computing, such as bitcoin mining, large scale AI/ML jobs, graphics rendering and computational biology.

In 2021 we hit profitability, raised a 128M Series B (with Valor Equity Partners, Bain Capital, Founders Fund, Winklevoss Capital, and some others), launched our data center services https://crusoecloud.com/ — and most importantly prevented 188,669 tons of CO2e emissions from being emitted into the atmosphere — effectively removing over 37,000 cars from the road.

To this point, we’ve kept the engineering team small (~15 engineers, our team is ~110 total), balanced with high-potential recent grads and a range of domain experts across networking, cloud infra, and crypto mining.
